Roger Edwards was formally educated as an electrical engineer and has worked as an engineer and technical writer for several Fortune 500 companies—spanning multiple high tech industries.

With aspirations (since high school) in the entertainment industry, Roger used his spare time to engage in a variety of creative writing efforts—including a children’s science education book (“Max Science and the Glowing Firefly”), teleplays for a children’s fantasy drama series (“SPARKS,” WRAL-TV), and award-winning screenplays.

Roger’s message-driven stories reflect his affinity for projects that address social issues. This prompted him to form Cool Breeze Communications—his production company and vehicle for weaving entertainment and community-outreach.

Cool Breeze Communications, in collaboration with non-profit organizations, develops original educational material and advocacy media tools. Their programs reinforce positive messages that inspire, inform and transform lives.

Roger lives and works in Knightdale, NC where he keeps busy as a technical writer, a caregiver for both his parents, and a Compassion International® child sponsor.

He enjoys foreign travel, fitness, martial arts, whitewater rafting, snorkeling, parasailing, hiking, and studying Spanish.
